I review the Arrow Video restoration and release of A FISTFUL OF DOLLARS on BLu-ray and 4K UHD. This is the exhaustive restoration overhaul all Leone fans have dreamed of and never thought possible. FINALLY the film has been given the treatment is so desperately needed resulting in a release that is as good as humanly possible with the materials currently available. Arrow poured an intensive amount of work into getting this presentation as correct as possible. From working with both sets of rights holders to involving members of the Leone fan historian and preservation groups, there was no stone left unturned.
In short, ALL past releases have been rendered obsolete. An upgrade if there ever was one. One of the most essential physical media releases of all time.
