Please join us as we let the Galapagos Islands and wildlife tell the story of our 2 week adventure aboard G Adventures Yolita II in May of 2024. On our way to the Wild Galapagos, we stopped in Quito for 3 nights taking in several sites including Quito Old Town. The stay wouldn't have been complete without the trip to the Mindo Forest to see hummingbirds, butterflies, waterfalls, and to experience hands on coffee making. Our Galapagos adventure included hiking or panga trips along with snorkeling nearly everyday. Most days we had two snorkel outings giving us ample time to see Green Sea Turtles, Sea Lions, Penguins Sharks, Marine Iguanas and lots of fish in the water. On land we saw lots of birds including nesting Blue-footed Boobies and Waved Albetros. We also saw many variations of Giant Tortoises, Land Iguanas, Lava Lizards, Marine Iguanas, Finches and Mockingbirds.

At the time of our travel with G Adventures, they were offering a week in the Northwest and Central Islands, or Central and South Islands that could be combined which is what we chose to do. Our guide was great despite spreading his time across 16 people. Amenities are basic and food is served banquet style with limited options, but we chose this ship to keep our costs down. The onboard crew were all great and constantly working to keep the ship clean and operational. There is no onbard laundry or wifi, we washed our clothes ourselves and hung them out on the top deck with many others.
