Roku & Korra Update

Hey all! The next 2-3 weeks are going to be very quiet as I’m doing assignments and exams plus moving house 🤦‍♂️ i will try squeeze in a few uploads though!
I’ve decided that the footage I have of Roku & Korra on the property is not really worth showing, reason being it was extremely hostile and upsetting.

Korra was very sweet and enjoyed my attention however if i got close to her Roku would stress out and attack, if i touched her he would scream and attack. I managed to lock him in end of aviary and this allowed me to play with Korra and spend time with her but Roku was screaming and stressing out so bad being apart from her and knowing i was giving her attention. To the point he started to pull/pluck at his feathers, so i let him back and and decided not to stress him out anymore.
It’s extremely important for people to realise and understand that in the wild when macaws pair its for life, they never separate and can even move in sync due to being so close.
So for those constantly asking or pushing me to free fly them, please know that this is actually your own wants and desires being put before their own.
I will not hurt and stress Roku out by interacting that closely with Korra even if she wants it, and vice versa. You also cannot free fly a parrot safely that does not want a bar of you, the dynamics have changed, i accepted this long ago :)

Which is why the goal now is to build their new large flight aviary once i move house so that they can settle and be more comfortable ☺️ the one they are currently in is not maintained due to me not being there to set it up like a forest and grow stuff etc so its barren and dry and dead, but its outback australia 🤷🏼‍♂️
Their happiness needs to come first, and pushing to free fly (as nice as it is to watch) is not in they’re best interest at this point, it cannot be done without causing harm and that makes it a extremely easy decision for me to not do it. So i hope this clarifies this issue :)

The rest of the video is nothing special, just another little playdate with the regulars, i got lots of khyber cuddles which was nice! BMO had not commenced his free flight training at this point (i think this is over a week ago) so he was observing everything. Dory would not leave him as she wanted to either bite him for giving me cuddles and or “stealing” pabu’s attention away from her 😂 crazy girl.

Kevin was not hurt, everyone knows kevin is a jerk face who bites and attacks randomly, his owner also plays a game where he is tossed into the air (never without him knowing its coming) so thats not abuse, it’s something he worked up to doing as seen in prior videos. Actually audrey and a few others do this as well! Past videos show this in slow motion haha
