Drag Soldering a 0.5mm pitch TSSOP-56 Component (Uncut video)

Описание к видео Drag Soldering a 0.5mm pitch TSSOP-56 Component (Uncut video)

This is an uncut video showing an attempt at drag soldering. This is just the second time I've done it, but it appears to work well.
For more detail and comments, including what tools were used, see here:

The steps in the video are:
1. Position component using Blu-Tack (temporary putty)
2. Apply some liquid flux (I used a flux pen, but a brush would be better)
3. Fill the spoon (gull-wing) tip with solder, but not so that it's very bulgy; maybe just 50-70% full (I used a 1.9mm dia tip)
4. Drag it along! You can hear the pins of the component are touching some part of the tip
5. For fix-up, I used more flux and tried to lift off the excess with the iron. If that doesn't work, use desoldering braid, and then redo the flux and dragging for those pins
6. Clean-up using isopropyl alcohol (IPA) and a stiff brush
7. Test each pin! Using the blunt edge of a scalpel blade. The blade should gently flex against each pin. If the pin starts to bend then you know it isn't soldered : )
