Sand Dunes in Vietnam

When someone told me that there are sand dunes in Vietnam, I was surprised. Until I visited Mui Ne recently, the sand dunes were indeed real and beautiful. It is also a perfect location for both sunrise and sunset watching. I booked this short 4.5-hour tour through Klook, which includes sunrise at the white sand dunes, red sand dunes, a fishing village, and a picturesque spot along the coast.

The tour guide picked me up from my hotel with a jeep at 4:30 a.m., and the journey to the white sand dunes took about 45 minutes. Upon reaching the location, I was transferred to an ATV with a driver who later drove me up the hill, which is a perfect spot for sunrise.

After the sunrise, I was also lucky enough to have the chance to ride the ATV on the sand dunes, which gave me a thrilling experience. The heart-dropping feeling of cruising down the sloping hills was really exciting.

On my way to the next location, I saw a very beautiful coastline overlooking the sea with the sun right above it. Without saying a word, the tour guide immediately stopped by the roadside and offered to take a picture of me. Without hesitating, I agreed, and I would also say this is the perfect spot that will definitely make it to the top of your Instagrammable list.

As the tour neared the end, the guide then brought me to the last two locations, which are the fishing village and Fairy Stream. Apparently, it seems like the sand dunes are fairly popular among the locals and tourists, but during my travel, I was lucky to bump into an EasyRider who later offered to take me to more beautiful places in Mui Ne, which are very underrated among tourists.
