I have been trying this serum for almost two weeks now. I apply it twice a day - although once should be sufficient, on a clean face, or in this case lashes. At almost two weeks I can see new lashes just beginning to grow.

The short story is this, I currently have some bare spots on my eyelids that are finally growing new lashes. Two and a half months ago I ditched my mascara and switched to an all natural mascara and I know that has helped too. My daughter is been using this serum and has not seen any results yet but she is just looking for length on her current lashes, so it's hard to tell.

The serum is very thin which on the one hand is very good because it absorbs quickly and doesn't drip in your eyes. Thick serums can run into your eyes especially while sleeping. Another good thing is that I can apply my mascara a few minutes after applying this serum. The bad side of it is that it takes a lot of applications before seeing any results - unless it's pretty obvious like in my case. I like that the serum is quite natural and smells really fresh. The bottle I had didn't shut very well so I had to improvise and apply some plastic around to keep it sealed - otherwise the serum would leak. Overall, it has great potential and I look forward to more results.

Long story. Ok, you don't have to read this unless you'd like to know how I got bare spots on my eyelids. Thing is, I have very long and curly eyelashes - thanks dad! When I started college I practiced swimming everyday for a semester. Since my schedule was very tight and I was always on the go, I decided to wear waterproof mascara everyday. The issue was that I didn't take it off but only once a week. Yup, that really hurt my lashes. But again, since at that point, I had 'plenty' I was not concerned when I started to see lashes falling once a week when I took my waterproof mascara off - thank goodness I only swam one semester!

After that I continued to use heavy mascara and even though it was regular (not waterproof), I didn't necessarily removed it every night - yeah, college was a lot of work already, I'm an Engineer.

Fast forward to my early 30's and I began to notice how my lashes would just continue to fall very often. My lashes were now weak and not only would fall but break at the end like someone with split ends on hair. Now I had some very long lashes next to some that looked chopped. So what did I do? I trimmed the lashes so at least they'd be all uniform. I started to use oils every night and kept this treatment for several years. Little did I know that the mascara I was using was not helping the lashes I had, they were just not very healthy.

A few months ago I decided to ditch all mascara and try natural mascara. I am allergic to some natural minerals so I ended up making my own. I added castor oil and lavender essential oil and my lashes began to regain strength, at least they were not breaking any more. Later, I noticed how less and less lashes were falling. Then I began to use this serum and I think all my new regimen finally is paying off. If you have weak lashes and this serum (or other similar) is not working, maybe your mascara is to blame...maybe.
