Surat to Daman Road Trip

Описание к видео Surat to Daman Road Trip

Daman is part of the Union territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli, which was previously a separate UT known as Daman and Diu. This is one of the favorite weekend spots of many Surati people. Daman is approx 100 to 125 km away from Surat City towards Mumbai. We can reach Daman by NH 48 (old NH 8). Between Surat to Daman, we go through 2 toll tax booths, i.e. Bhatiya toll before the Palsana crossroad and the Boriach toll tax booth 19km away from Navsari on NH 48. If we want to escape the toll booth of Bhatiya we have 3 options. option 1 is the road through Vanz village. Option 2 is to drive up to Maroli Cross road and take a left towards NH 48. Option 3 is to drive through Navsari town. If we want to escape the Boriyach toll, we should choose a route that covers the distance between Navsari and Chikhli through Billiora. Saving tolls can waste lots of time. It is advised to go through toll tax booths if the trip is for 1 day only. The route through Navsari and Billimora (Gandevi) is very scenic during and post-monsoon. Daman is generally very crowded on Sundays and the same happened with us on the first Sunday of summer vacation. First, we reached the Jhampore beach but due to some road construction work near the police station, we couldn't make our way to a beautiful sea-facing beach sack. Then we moved to Mira Restaurant near Water Sports Spot but they serve Veg food and no alcohol. So we went to Ashoka Hotel Devka Beach. Ashoka Hotel got non AC and AC sections of the restaurant. Food is moderately priced and tasty. The liquor price was decent. In the evening we went to Manpasand Bar and Restaurants where we found that a road divider is developed in front of Manpasand Bar which made it impossible to go to Manpasand Bar for people with vehicle coming from Devka. So we took a turn towards your bar and restaurant. the whole road was choked with parked vehicles. But one person helped us to park the vehicle in the compound of the house opposite Keyur bar. in the Keyur bar water was not available in the washroom and they were taking time to serve the food due to the full house.
