Point Dume Beach, Malibu - Cliffs, Coves, Hiking and Rock Climbing!

Point Dume State Beach in Malibu (of Planet of the Apes and Tony Stark/Iron Man mansion fame), is great to hike or whale watch. The parking sucks, but you knew that didn't you? Good news is that it's free. Renowned for its famous coastal cliff views, make sure to explore this stunning promontory in Santa Monica Bay near Los Angeles, especially Big Dume Beach, Pirate's Cove and Westward Beach. Located right off the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH). You can even do rock climbing there.

Death Valley. Malibu. Santa Monica. Channel Islands National Park. We closed out the year with an epic road trip to California in style, checking out some of the best SoCal has to offer - beautiful coastlines and beaches, gorgeous mountains with hiking and mountain biking trails, tiny islands off in the Pacific Ocean, and also the hottest, driest and lowest place in the United States - and hottest in the world. Not only did we sneak in time for some fun on rollercoasters and other amusement park attractions at Santa Monica Pier.
