Our new Chrom EP is called "Kuro Kumo": a brillant 4-track EP from HEILAN, an electronic music producer and DJ from the UK, based nowadays in Lisbon, Portugal. After more than a decade as a theatre maker and artist, HEILAN moved into DJing and producing as a new creative outlet, alongside composing music for film. HEILAN's music reflects his work in theatre, live art and dance, with a focus on structure, narrative and rhythmic journeys. His productions take influences from a range of music genres, often experimenting with live instrument samples, vocals and found sounds, against the backdrop of techno. All 4 tracks from this EP are a perfect exemple of this. It really doesn't happen a lot that we sign 4 originals from the same artist, but according to us these originals have it all: thé perfect blend of indie dance, progressive house and melodic techno with an organic/afro touch. The originals are 100%% Chrom style and speak for themselves, so no need at all to add remixes this time.

HEILAN released already on labels such as VIAGE, Camel Riders, Magic Moment and Sound Optix. Key DJ gigs in the UK have included Egg Club and Ministry Of Sound, as well as Tribal Soul and Bermondsey Social Club. Whilst recently living in Lebanon he was a resident DJ at Radio Beirut, and held a weekly residency at Funky Fish Beach Club in Summer 2020. HEILAN is now based in Lisbon, Portugal, with recent gigs including Nada Temple and Level Eight Rooftop.
