Children of incarcerated parents in the U.S. often struggle to maintain a connection and relationship with them. Prison Fellowship's Angel Tree Christmas program seeks to ease this burden by providing gifts to children on behalf of their incarcerated parents. These gifts are not just materialistic, but also provide hope and offer reconciliation for children and families across the country. 2.7 million children have a parent serving time in prison or jail on any given day and over 5.2 million have had an incarcerated parent at some point during their lives. Betsy Wright serves as the senior director of Prison Fellowship's Angel Tree Everyday. She has seen firsthand the powerful impact the program has had on children and families impacted by incarceration and is calling for the church to get involved. She joined Prayer Link to share more.
