The Iraivan Temple, also known as the Kauai Aadheenam, is a Hindu temple located on the island of Kauai in Hawaii, United States. It is a project of the Saiva Siddhanta Church and is dedicated to Lord Siva. The temple is unique in that it is entirely hand-carved from white granite and took over three decades to complete.


The construction of the Iraivan Temple began in 1990 under the guidance of Satguru Sivaya Subramuniyaswami, the founder of the Saiva Siddhanta Church. The temple follows the architectural style of South Indian Chola temples and incorporates traditional Hindu design elements. Skilled artisans from India were brought in to carve the intricate details of the temple.


The Iraivan Temple serves as a spiritual sanctuary and pilgrimage site for Hindus from around the world. The temple complex also includes various shrines, meditation spaces, and a Guru Peedam (seat of the Guru).
