Polarfront is an electronic music project by Lee Dong-hwa, who works as a producer, live performance, and DJ. Complex and changeable phenomena occurring at the point and boundary where matters and forms of different properties meet, comprise subjects on which music and visual works are based, presented in contrasting modes. Starting with the release of his 2015 self-titled "Polarfront", he has released 2018 "Baikal" and 2019 "Voyage", and has been continuously releasing albums by participating in various other projects and compilation albums. Along with various venues in Korea, he is active in live performances and DJs abroad, including Tokyo's "Dommune," Berlin's "Tresor" and "About blank." Recently, a new experiment has been underway with the establishment of the "PF Lab" label, and is focusing on recording and releasing various artistic activities.

Polarfront 는 프로듀서이자 라이브 퍼포먼스, DJ로 활동하는 이동화의 전자음악 프로젝트이다. 2015 셀프 타이틀인 'Polarfront' 발매를 시작으로 2018 'Baikal', 2019 'Voyage' 를 발매하였고, 그 외 여러 프로젝트와 컴필레이션 앨범에 참여하여 꾸준한 앨범 발매를 하고 있으며, 국내를 비롯하여 도쿄의 'Dommune' , 베를린의 'Tresor', 'About blank' 등의 해외에서 라이브 퍼포먼스와 디제이로 활발히 활동 중이다.

최근 'PF Lab' 레이블을 설립하여 새로운 실험을 진행 중이며, 다양한 예술적 활동을 기록하고 발매하는 것에 힘을 쏟고 있다.

CHALNA is a project launched by Polarfront in 2021 to explore the boundaries and possibilities of improvisation, and at the same time to study various platforms that can connect the audience and performers' breathing in electronic music performances with improvisational elements.

We are concentrating on creating a chaotic aesthetic harmony where irregularities and regularities are mixed through various transformations and experiments of sounds created by nature and humans, and through this approach, we want to bring out a new experience for the audience and performers.

Currently, CHALNA is active as a producer and live performer of 'PF LAB', and is conducting collaboration performances with various artists other than sound.

CHALNA (찰나) 는 즉흥연주의 경계와 가능성을 탐구하고, 동시에 전자음악 공연에서의 관객과 연주자의 호흡을 즉흥적 요소로 연결할 수 있는 다양한 플랫폼을 연구하기 위하여 2021년 Polarfront 에 의해 시작 된 프로젝트이다.자연과 인간이 만들어낸 사운드를 다양한 변형과 실험을 통하여 불규칙성과 규칙성이 혼재 되어진 카오스적인 미적 하모니를 만들어 내는 것에 집중하고 있으며 이러한 접근을 통하여 관객과 연주자에게 새로운 경험을 이끌어 내고자 한다. 현재 ‘PF LAB’ 의 프로듀서, 라이브 연주자를 주축으로 활동중이며, 사운드 이외의 다양한 아티스트와의 콜라보레이션 공연을 진행중이다.
