Thermal flow meters are truly space age technology. At Sierra Instruments, our air flow sensors and mass flow meters have been part of many NASA space shuttle applications for more than 25 years.

Most recently, we've been a partner in ensuring a successful return to earth for the space shuttle. NASA needed to replace the outdated aerospace technology it was using to maintain positive space shuttle cargo door air flow on re-entry. NASA chose our model 780S thermal mass flow meter. Successfully installed, and later tested by a third party calibrator, the 780S has become a trusted part of NASA aeronautics.
