[D119] HOW DIVORCE IMPACTS YOUR WILL?
This video explains specifically the impacts of divorce on your by a family divorce lawyer. In the process of a divorce it is very important to ensure your will has been updated. The Wills Act is explained by the divorce lawyer, who stipulates that your spouse will not inherit your will benefits should you pass after 3 months of your divorce being granted. The Wills act also provides parties a period of time within 3 months after your divorce to update your will if you wish you spouse to not have any control over your affairs. Not only your will should be updated at the start of your divorce process but also life policies and pension funds on the beneficiary information. This video also explains about the power of attorney over your will and estate, once the divorce process begins you should revoke the power of attorney to ensure you have control over your affairs, not your spouse.
