Throughout this video, you'll see me first design the components and subassemblies of the camper in fusion 360 then move on to assembly and fabrication of each part. This consisted of welding the aluminum frame and laying up the carbon fiber for the roof, floor, walls, and door panel. I then created a massive transparent door and skylight to enjoy the outside while in this fully insulated system. The whole system is built onto my modified Xtrusion Overland XTR3 bed rack

My inspiration for wanting to design and build my own hard-side roof camper comes from the awesome camper product by @redtailoverland4067 who utilize a patented and innovative hinge technology. I was also inspired by @OverlandUnderBudget DIY camper build and the hard shell camper he proposed trying to make. I decided to go in my own direction and design a system and further a camper from the ground up using my own wall system with two individual panels which can secure together or separate to completely open the camper. The camper floor has a small slot to pass through all the time as well as additional moveable floor panels to be able to stand up inside of the bed topper completely unobstructed
