Uncut Pete Doherty Interview: Prison, Drugs and Kate Moss (2006)

On 10 February 2006, Peter Doherty invited Channel 4 News to spend the evening with him and his band Babyshambles as they prepared to play their first gig since Doherty's release from prison. Having spent 13 nights in HMP Pentonville on remand, Doherty was ordered to attend a drug rehabilitation course. Channel 4's Emily Reuben asked Doherty about his time in prison, whether he planned to stay off drugs for good, and his relationship with his ex-girlfriend, supermodel Kate Moss. He also performed an impromptu acoustic rendition of Babyshambles' new song, Revelations.

Stranger in my Own Skin, a documentary charting Peter Doherty's battle with addiction, was released on 9 November 2023. The acclaimed songwriter also recently appeared on the BBC series Louis Theroux Interviews..., during which he spoke to Theroux about his life and career. Meanwhile, the Libertines have released a new single, Run Run Run, ahead of their first album in nine years, All Quiet on the Eastern Esplanade, scheduled for release in March 2024.
