The envecon 2025 keynote speech was given by Kerry ten Kate, who drew from twenty years of experience working with companies, financial institutions, governments, and non-profits to recover nature in the context of sustainable development. For decades, Kerry has worked at the frontier of innovations in financing and governance for nature restoration, including Investor Responsibility, Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG), and Natural Capital Accounting. Kerry’s keynote address focusses on the challenge of successfully and fairly transitioning land use in the UK (with implications far beyond).
