Health Day 2025 – Empowering Communities Through Health & Awareness
at Fetreeso Estate on 9th September 2025

Health Day 2025 was a meaningful initiative conducted at Fetreeso Estate on 9th September 2025, bringing together plantation communities, healthcare teams, and key partners for a full day dedicated to promoting well-being, preventive care, and health education.

The program was organized by the Plantation Human Development Trust , in collaboration with Bogawanthalawa Plantations PLC and the Regional Director of Health Services – Nuwara Eliya.

Screening Services Provided: NCD Screenings , Oral Cancer Screening , Dental Treatments for children under 5, Tuberculosis (TB) & STD Testing, Blood Pressure & BMI Assessments with Counselling, Well-Woman Clinic (PAP Smears & Reproductive Health Services), MR Vaccinations for eligible participants

Special awareness sessions were also conducted for school children, teachers, and community members, focusing on TB, STD & Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) Prevention, Mental Health & Nutrition Awareness, Adolescent Health & Cognitive Development, Dengue Prevention & Environmental Health

This impactful event was made possible through the dedicated support of the Regional Director of Health Services – Nuwara Eliya and their medical team, the staff of Dickoya Base Hospital, the Bogawanthalawa MOH Office, the PHDT – Hatton Region team, and with the strong management support of Bogawanthalawa Plantations PLC
