Finding an apartment in Berlin is a landmine for rejections. Left and right ghosting. A maddening system that only leaves you feeling desperate, until MAYBE you get lucky and a Vermieter finds you somewhat suitable (not without heavy questioning of course). This is just a glimpse of the chaos that unfolded once I signed up for the inevitable Immoscout+, which again (gatekeeping???), I have strong thoughts on. The market is f*cked, but then again, never say never. Sometimes people do respond to your 7th email and it comes down to good timing and good luck.

In this video I’m sharing the full story of how I found my first apartment in Berlin, what the process was really like, and how I managed to secure this gem of a bude.
