The Preacher has returned to the Square beneath Alia's Temple. He speaks of 4 messages, warnings aimed at Alia, Stilgar, Irulan and Duncan Idaho. Alia finds herself unable to act against this Heretic, and seems to be under compulsion of his Voice. The Preacher also gives his Sermon of the Desert, aimed at the Priesthood of Muad'Dib.
And what effect does this have on Alia, who now plans with the Baron against her own family?
Is she losing her grip on the Atreides Power base as well as her sanity?
