Dirk Darmstaedter - Love Is A Kind Of Poison (Official Lyric Video)

Filmed on the last afternoon of 2024 on Sylt, the island off the coast of northern Germany (part of the Frisian Islands), out in the North Sea. The day started out fine, windy but still cosy. Then the wind really picked up, eventually reaching hurricane strength, forcing the cancellation of all the New Year's festivities planned on the island's beach and elsewhere. I had to really, really hold on to my camera while filming the seaside scenes, lest it be blown away and lost forever to the raging ocean. The video is a nice little document of the day that has absolutely nothing to do with the song, but that's OK. The track is - Love Is A Kind Of Poison - which I released digitally in early 2024 and which will eventually find its way onto my next album, due sometime this coming spring. Oh, and the dog is - of course - Lola, who will be 8 years old in 2025.
