To turn on or off auto rotate screen on a Microsoft Surface Pro 8, follow these steps:
Open the Windows Settings app by clicking on the Start menu and selecting the gear icon.
In the Windows Settings app, select "System" from the list of options on the left side of the screen.
In the System settings, select "Display" from the list of options on the right side of the screen.
In the Display settings, scroll down to the "Rotation" section and use the toggle switch next to "Rotation lock" to enable or disable auto rotate screen.
