"So the game expo is the key consumer show that falls in the Dubai Esport and gaming festival. And the mission of the whole festival is to position Dubai as a gaming hub and to create a consumer event, basically to give a platform to all the brands and publishers to showcase their games, to do an activation with the audiences, and for the audiences also to come and enjoy all those new releases when it comes to the gaming."

"So we have established Camel Tech in the late 2019 and the idea is how to serve the Arab gamers, especially in the Middle East region with gaming accessory that can help them game comfortably. That’s why we are more focused in producing gaming keyboards with Arabic letters and everything that is related to the Arab community."

STORYLINE:
Gaming enthusiasts in Dubai got the chance to play video games, participate in esports tournaments and even check out gaming technology at a festival in Dubai.

For some of the festival visitors, the video games brought back some memories as the event showcased games from a span of 40 years in gaming history.

The second Dubai Esports Festival drew gaming fans of all ages, offering them a range of activities.

"The mission of the whole festival is to position Dubai as a gaming hub," said Muna Alfalasi, the director of Dubai Esports and Games festival.

The event provides a "platform to all the brands and publishers to showcase their games," she added.

Local gaming accessory manufacturer Camel Tech, for instance, exhibited their gaming keyboards that cater to Arab gamers.

Abubaker Alhashmi, the founder of Camel Tech, said he wants to "serve Arab gamers" so they can play games comfortably.

"That’s why we are more focused in producing gaming keyboards with Arabic letters," he added.

The event also offered cosplayer the opportunity to dress up as their favorite characters.

Cosplayer Mohammed AlDarmaki said he has been cosplaying since 2015, adding that it provides entertainment to people.
