Academics and pundits alike are currently debating the nature and future of the global order in which we live, with a striking focus on global and regional international organisations. These organisations are the sites of competition, rivalries, and cooperation as well as friendships, coalitions of the willing and strategic alliances – both on the individual, bureaucratic and government levels.
This workshop, which took place in October 2022, brought together researchers of all career stages to discuss global ordering processes. Particular attention was given to papers that address issues such as international (global and regional) organisations, European/regional foreign policies, regional integration, diplomatic practices and power transition/rivalries.
