How to use this course effectively:

1) First of all, this is an audio course, which means that the most important thing will be to listen to all the lessons to the end, since when memorizing a foreign language, we mainly deal with sound memory. I also advise you to pronounce words, phrases and sentences aloud, this will make your speech apparatus memorize the pronunciation of sounds and turn on Broca's speech center (imitation of live speech).

2) There are four columns in each lesson, and the sound material is also repeated four times. The first time you listen and read the first column, the second time the second, and so on until the fourth. So, you can match which word or phrase the spoken sound corresponds to. If necessary, you can listen to the lesson again, making notes for yourself on the material covered.

3) The first column will help you understand which Russian letter is read as. But you will not understand this one hundred percent, since in Russian, as well as in English, there are such phenomena as falling out of a consonant, changing the sound of a nearby consonant, stunning consonants before voiceless sounds and at the end of words, reduction of vowels (change in the sound of vowels in unstressed positions.) Sometimes you will see the same letter pronounced differently. This is fine. The second column will help you with this.

4) The second column is the pronunciation column. It is important to remember that this is not a phonetic transcription (and this is not a course in phonetics), which means that the sounds are written approximately. The most important thing when working on the pronunciation of the Russian language is to remember that stress is everything. If you pronounce the stressed syllable very clearly, then you can easily pronounce all unstressed syllables in a shorter way and as a result you will get the correct sound.

5) In the third column you won't see the grammar, don't look for it there. The purpose of this column is to show, if possible, what each Russian word corresponds to, as well as the word order in the Russian sentence.

6) The fourth column will help you understand what is actually being said.

7) I advise you to download the application with flashcards on your phone, where you can enter the words, phrases and sentences from this course and learn them in your free time. Also, you can listen to lessons at any time while doing something. Remember, sound memory is the main memory when learning a language.

8) At the end of each approach, we will learn the conjugation of the verb, I advise you to pronounce these words with me so that your speech apparatus and ears remember.
