A significant update this morning: a Holy Cross coach has been arrested and charged with secretly recording a part-time volleyball coach undressing in his office.

The staffer who was fired this week has now been arrested and identified.

Armando Flores, 34, is facing charges of invasive visual recording after police say he secretly recorded a part-time volleyball coach undressing at Holy Cross High School.

The investigation began when a student reported that Flores confronted them about moving a camera in his office. When asked how he knew, Flores allegedly said, "I saw the color of your shirt and your hair was curled," suggesting he had access to the footage, according to the police report.

The student alerted her volleyball coach, who found the camera disguised as a clock on top of Flores’ refrigerator. Inside was an SD card containing images of her undressed and photos of students in the office.

Earlier, Flores had told the volleyball coach that the camera was intended to monitor students entering the office, but assured her it didn’t work because it had no SD card. The coach, who used the office to change clothes due to her part-time status, immediately reported the discovery to the school administration.

After reviewing the evidence, police arrested Flores, who was subsequently fired by district officials.

Holy Cross of San Antonio released a statement on the incident, saying:

"The Holy Cross community is profoundly saddened and sympathizes with all individuals affected by this deep betrayal of trust. The safety and well-being of our students and staff remain our paramount concern. We have fully cooperated with the SAPD throughout this investigation and are committed to ensuring justice is served."

Investigators are asking that if you believe your child may have been recorded in Flores’ office, you contact their Human Exploitation Unit at (210) 207-2370.

Flores has been released on a $7,500 bond. He had been employed as a full-time Physical Education teacher and Assistant Athletic Coach.
