Описание к видео Was Mary Always a Virgin? 100% Proof Jesus Had Brothers & Sister

Did Mary Remain Celibate All Her Life?

The Roman Catholic Church teaches that Mary lived in perpetual celibacy — that Joseph never had marital relations with her, and that Jesus had no biological brothers or sisters.

But the Bible tells a different story. At least 10 passages clearly mention Jesus’ brothers and sisters:
Matthew 12:46–47, Matthew 13:55–56, Mark 3:31–32, Mark 6:3, Luke 8:19–20, John 2:12, John 7:3–5, Acts 1:14, 1 Corinthians 9:5, and Galatians 1:19.

For example, Matthew 13:54–57 records the people of Jesus’ hometown saying:

“Is not His mother called Mary? And His brothers James, Joses, Simon, and Judas? And His sisters, are they not all with us?”

Catholic tradition claims these were actually cousins. But in Greek, the word used for “brother” is adelphos — literally “womb mate” — which never means “cousin.” The New Testament uses an entirely different word (anepsios) for “cousin,” as seen in Colossians 4:10. Likewise, the Greek word for “sisters” (adelphē) means “female from the same womb.”

Matthew 12:46–47 gives further evidence:

“Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside…”
If these were cousins, Jesus’ follow-up statement — “Whoever does the will of My Father… is My brother and sister and mother” — wouldn’t make sense. He wasn’t redefining “cousin”; He was showing that true spiritual family is defined by obedience to God.

In this video, we’ll examine what Scripture really says about Mary’s life after Jesus’ birth, and whether the claim of lifelong celibacy matches the biblical record.
