📝 Notes:
1. Russian verbs have three grammatical moods: indicative, imperative, and conditional.Indicative expresses real facts and situations and is used for past, present, and future actions. Imperative expresses commands, requests, advice, or instructions and has no tense. Conditional expresses hypothetical or unreal situations and is formed with the past tense plus the particle бы.
2. Russian verbs have two aspects: imperfective and perfective. Imperfective verbs express ongoing, repeated, or incomplete actions. Perfective verbs express a completed result. Many verbs form aspectual pairs with the same meaning but different aspect.
3. Imperfective verbs conjugate in three tenses: Present, Past, and Future Compound. Perfective verbs conjugate in two tenses: Past and Future Simple.
4. Only singular verbs in the past tense and in the conditional mood have gender.
5. Person and gender are shown in gray when they do not affect conjugation.
6. Slides 1/32 and 24/32 use only a male voice, while 11/32 and 27/32 use only a female voice, as they are in the first person.
7. Not all verbs have imperative forms, or they are uncommon, so they are omitted in the video.
8. Neuter gender forms are omitted for some verbs, as they may be uncommon or unused.The neuter past and conditional form of “лете́ть” is “лете́ло”.
9. English tense correspondence in translation may be inaccurate, since tense choice depends on context, style, and whether the action is ongoing or completed.For example, the Future Compound Tense can express a completed future action.
10. Conditional mood sentences can be incomplete in meaning because the condition is omitted for brevity and to focus on verb conjugation, but they are still grammatically correct. Example (slide 24/32): “Я лете́л бы други́м ре́йсом, е́сли бы не успе́л на э́тот.” (I would have flown on another flight if I hadn't made it on this one). The particle “бы” can appear before or after the verb; both positions are grammatically correct and may differ in style or intonation.
