XYZ-Wing - Is It Luck Or Skill? Mark vs Classic Sudoku 24 Feb 2020 by Smart Hobbies, I analyze a solve by one of the foremost Sudoku experts and co-founder of the Cracking The Cryptic YouTube channel, Mark Goodliffe. This puzzle was the submitted by Howard Elder in Feb 2020 for Mark to solve. Mark posted a YouTube video on Cracking the Cryptic where he solved this puzzle by using an XYZ-Wing. I retrace the steps of Mark’s solve and explain each strategy he used. I also let you the viewer know if Mark used luck or skill to find this advanced strategy, and if this Sudoku can be solved without using an XYZ-Wing.
