1 Timothy 1-3 | Instructions on Doctrine, Prayer, & Leadership |

Описание к видео 1 Timothy 1-3 | Instructions on Doctrine, Prayer, & Leadership |

In this video we start our series on 1 Timothy. This letter was written by Paul to his son in the faith, Timothy, who was serving in Ephesus. In chapter 1 Paul reminds Timothy of his overall mission and urges Timothy to keep it in mind. But having the knowledge, but no prayer life, is useless. So in chapter 2 Paul talks about prayer and how prayer should be conducted in the church. Furthermore he addresses questions of order and positions inside the church, especially between men and women. In chapter 3 he goes deeper into these subjects addressing two very important offices in a local church: Overseers and deacons. He even includes a “checklist” for these positions. In the first 3 chapters of this letter we find three fundamental pillars for a local church.
