Accomplishing goals can be tricky, many people (including myself sometimes) associate goals with; "Its such hard work," "I could never ACTUALLY reach that," "Who am I kidding?!"
I have learned all of my failed attempts to accomplish certain goals, there was more to accomplishing a goal than the physical work aspect of what it takes to accomplish the goal. It has helped me tremendously to incorporate the integration of both the mind, body, and spirit and using that momentum to motivate you to accomplish little goals every day, by first accepting who you are and where you are at first, and set a clear picture of what you would like to accomplish and why.
How to accept myself and accomplish my goals:
1: Bring your awareness to yourself - get to know who you are, what works for you, what doesn't? How do I get to know myself? start simple:
What is 1 thing that I love about myself?
What is 1 thing that others love about me?
What is 1 thing that I love about the world/life?
What is 1 thing I am grateful for?
The purpose for these questions is to tap into what makes our heart sing, if have an idea of who we are and what we admire and love about ourselves, it is much more likely we will see through our goals we set out for.
2: Understand more about your goal -- Bridge your goal to your body, mind, spirit. This will implement momentum and aid in driving you forward in accomplishing your goals.
What is your goal?
What is your WHY? Who are you doing the goal for, yourself or someone/something else? GET REAL WITH YOURSELF, THIS IS IMPORTANT!
Be 1% better everyday, set micro goals and allow yourself to get creative, don't do the same thing every day, change it up, learn about your goal to invest yourself more. Example: Goal = Mountain running: Maybe you run every other day, swim in-between, strength train, stretch and connect your breath with your body, build strength in your core, go on hikes up mountains, learn about nutrition, learn about techniques. You may not be running every single day, but you are investing in the totality of your goal to help support your momentum. maybe add 5 minutes to your workouts here and there, push yourself just a tiny bit more every day.
Take action toward your goal
Embody the emotion of your goal already accomplished - how will you feel when you have accomplished your goal, allow that emotion to drive you forward.
Homework:
Set an intention to read to yourself when you wake up in the morning and at night, maybe even scattered through your day. Incorporate this phrase into your intention whether you believe it or not; "i will accomplish this goal because I am enough and I am worth it!"
Remember Always:
Have fun!
Be love!
Step into your power!
