I forgot about the negative synergy of the Silver Beetle and the starters I had. Both my Shell Cat and my Xerododo relied on their on placed effects, in their respective evolved forms. Sadly, Silver Beetle's Genotoxic does not trigger other on placed effects.

I also misused one of my Syringes by extracting the Inkstain. Later on, I was 1 Syringe short to get the Warcry active.

Finally, I gave the Imitator to the wrong monster. Imitator's copied moves were erased the moment the Silver Beetle evolved my Xerododo. Oh, how I wished I had the Golden Beetle in this run...

My party could have benefit from the Phiopoda I skipped. I could have used my Imitator to copy the rest move.

Overall, this run was very sketchy. Too many errors.


I primed my Xerododo for the golden Beetle. Without it, his potential was lower. I also needed to waste extra time to retreat and deploy him again. This would trigger both the Warcry and the Imitator. Oh well, at least the 9/7 body was hard to take down.

A 5/7 Parapandion became my damage dealer. I stacked strength on him to scale his multi hit Flurry attack. He was a bit squishy, but it did not matter against this Boss.

Omg. I had a feeling that catching this Namorphid was very risky/unnecessary. He rolled so much garbage. Even the Mutated Strike and the Inkstain, for the attack priority, was surprisingly short on damage at times. 6/5 was okay, especially with the Inkstain. The problem was that the Inkstain would affect 1 monster only. This made fighting other monsters, without the support from the Warcry, pretty bad.

A 5/6 Crystalon was not supposed to stay in combat. His role was to hop in, evolve Xerododo, buff the strength on everyone and retreat. Rarely I could also use his Crystal Surge move, to double my buffs, including the Blue Scales provided by the Last Stand move on my Xerogriffin.

6/7 Nostroptera was short of one offensive move. Without it, all he could do was finishing off weak debuffed enemies with his Opportunist talent for extra damage. His Malice could be used to weaken enemies, allowing my Parapandion to scale his Hot Temper as much as I wanted to.
