The second to last weekend of May, 2022 found us in our recent most favorite hiking location, the Columbia River Gorge of course!! Yep, there's no shortage of gorgeous hikes here. 🤩 This time we trekked along the Oregon side of the divide.

We took the Angel's Rest and Devil's Rest Loop Trail. That spot by the creek where you see Jason having a seat is where we sat to have lunch to break up the 12 miles (6.5 hrs) we spent up there.

I wish I could share footage of one of the coolest things I've ever seen in person: there were a couple of bald eagles just over Angel's Rest engaged in their mating ritual which consists of them flying up REALLY high, grasping each other's talons and then circling downward at high speeds which can only be humanly described as a trust exercise. Well in case you don't know I'm a HUGE raptor fan so what ended up happening was that in my total nerd out I THOUGHT I was recording it, but I wasn't... so sad. At least I got one of those beauties flying through the gorge. My apologies for the shaky cam.
