Bionic Woman Audio Compare "The Return of Bigfoot Part II"

The soundtrack to the Bionic Woman Season 2 premiere episode, "The Return of Bigfoot Part II" (a crossover with The Six Million Dollar Man) has always sounded bright and rich, even when it went into syndication. But when the episode appeared as a bonus on the 2010 Time-Life Six Million Dollar Man DVD set and then again on the 2011 Universal Bionic Woman Season 2 DVD set, the entire soundtrack was muffled.

Sound effects, dialogue, and Joe Harnell's brilliant musical score had lost their crisp clarity. Here is a comparison of the DVD version and a syndicated version. The difference is striking. We can only assume that something happened during the authoring of the disc(s). Other episodes that have audio problems of varying severity include but are not limited to "Road to Nashville," "Beyond the Call," "The Night Demon," "Kill Oscar," "Assault on the Princess," "Sanctuary Earth," and "Doomsday is Tomorrow Parts I and II."
