Andy Bumatai - All in the Ohana [1980]

Описание к видео Andy Bumatai - All in the Ohana [1980]

“All in the Ohana” is a hilarious look at the “family” in Hawai`i. It cleverly captures the color, flavor and depth of our unique lifestyle with wit and charm.

Andy Bumatai’s marvelous talent shines in this video. His childhood memories of growing up in Wai`anae provide the ground work as he magically plays all five members of the `ohana ―from the senile but spiritual Tutu, down-to-earth Daddy, sincere and loving Mama, “townie wannabe” daughter Honey Girl to the laidback surfer son Junior Boy.

As in life there is laughter and there are tears in this very special story. Through the fun, serious and time-less issues are brought to light – land ownership, family, unity and compassion for Hawai`i’s future.

Originally aired on August 14, 1980, this local television classic shows us the special meaning of the island life ― and how we are all one `ohana, one family, bound by the Aloha spirit.

When we first made “All in the Ohana” VCRs weren't popular yet. So being able to offer it today as a DVD really stands as a strong testimony in support of the ever-green theme of “Family Values” that was so important to us when we made this show so many years ago.
