A sales bonus can be a good thing and develop into a difficult monster. If you currently do not have a sales bonus in your sales commission plan you should ask for one. Know that over time the rules will be tightened up and eventually games will be played with the rules. If you are in sales you must learn how to get paid more for your efforts. If you are good at what you do your sales commissions structure should include some sort of bonus plan. You must be able to use your sales skills to sell the idea and explain why you should be paid more. If you are good at closing deals in your sales presentation there is a lower cost overall associated with marketing. You must learn how to ask for a bonus if you do not already have one in your sales commission structure. You will find that come companies turn the plan into a sales bonus scheme once you have made too much money in their eyes, on their part this is sales sabotage. when you have the sales strategies and tactics that help you close deals you should get paid for them. If you know how to close more sales than other people and how to sell more make sure you ask for something extra in your check.
