This is Jacob, a lovely lad who took to driving brilliantly. At home he is ridden barefoot and bitless. Although he was shod for his training with us (as is usually standard, given the miles we cover in too short a time for most hooves to adapt to and cope with comfortably) he had hardly worn away his shoes compared to many other horses we see, so should find the transition back to barefoot for driving very easy. We also drove him at all three paces out on the road bitless during his owners' drive out at the end of his training - something for another video, perhaps! - and Jacob responded no differently to when he was bitted in soft rubber.

Watch as he takes a trip to a different part of town, navigating a multi-laned roundabout that would send some car drivers into a spin!
