This net was a commission by a wife of a very lucky fly fisherman. She not only bought him this beautiful custom Maple Burl & Wenge net, but he also had some input on the overall design. Chiefly, he wanted a longer handled net of burl, and he wanted a native Arizona Apache Trout inlaid in Kingman Turquoise and copper. We worked together via email to dial in the location just above the lanyard opening. The Kingman Turquoise and copper contrast very nicely against the dark backdrop of the strong Wenge butt section. The really cool part was that she ordered all the bells and whistles unbeknownst to him. She ordered a custom inlaid copper & Kingman turquoise Royal trude fly, a custom duckcloth net case, a matching Latigo Leather and wood Magnetic Net Release, and a custom engraved inscription, inlaid in copper, on the inside of the hoop. He's also receiving a CD copy of this comprehensive build video in high definition with his net. The final gift he's receiving is a Sierra Nets "Die for the Fly" T-shirt.
