Military Science as Academic Discipline

The Gateway Army ROTC Battalion's Professor of Military Science describes the academic discipline "Military Science " breaking down what Cadets must know into variables and formulae. It provides an overview for how Cadets and Cadre can think about what is in the curriculum, and how it prepares them for their "Final Project" of being a Platoon Leader at Advanced Camp. BUT! While it takes a scientific approach, the Professor emphasizes how the Art of Leadership is critical to overcoming the inevitable friction that reveals itself in warfare.
