This video captures comments from U.S. Congressional Representatives about the tragedy of families separated by the divided Korean Peninsula. Members of the US House of Representatives urged that separated families be allowed to meet and specifically that Korean Americans also be allowed in meetings arranged for separated families to see each other briefly. They also expressed their support for a reunified Korea.

These comments were made during a Congressional Roundtable that was part of a virtual International Forum on One Korea, held on February 24, 2021.

The International Forum on One Korea series examine a Free and Unified Korea Framework from U.S. and ROK national policy, scholarly and civil society perspectives.

This “free and unified Korea” policy framework affords a comprehensive, end-game approach to the resolution of long-standing Korean peninsula issues encompassing security and denuclearization, economic prosperity and human rights.
