Homemade Margin Floats - How to make your own Margin Floats. I have been doing a bit more margin fishing lately and I realised that losses of floats are almost inevitable if you are fishing near heavy snags. These floats also take a lot of abuse during the landing of fish where they end up inside the landing net, often with a large carp thrashing around on top of them.

I have therefore made myself a selection of margin floats which are very cheap to make and easy to replicate if I lose one.

As you can see, I caught plenty of fish and as expected, the float took some heavy punishment. I must have made them well, because it came through with flying colours.
