I've always wanted to see this Junji Ito masterpiece animated. It hasn't been adapted yet, and I don't know why, so I went and did! Also because I couldn't resist discovering what "DRR DRR DRR" would have sounded like.

UPDATE! I've since been informed that Ito-sama has stated in an interview that "drr drr drr" is THE SOUND THE PERSON'S SKIN IS MAKING AS IT'S BEING DRAGGED AGAINST THE WALLS! AAAAGH how awful is that?!?! But still I'm glad I made something as unexpected and unpleasant as the poor bastard in the wall gargling "Drr drr drr!!!" because viewers have found it to be so disturbing! It turns out so many different people had different interpretations of that menacing and popular sound effect! Thank you!
