If you're a photographer and want to get into videography, you already have a good background. But of course, there are some differences and that's what we're talking about in this video.

One big difference is already that you usually shoot video in compressed formats instead of RAW. That makes color grading a lot more different as you can't rescue many details from the shadows and you also can't push the colors around so much.

Another thing that changes is the way you expose your shots. In photography, you can use a pretty high shutter speed in most shots. In videography that changes a little bit as you want to get more natural motion blur.

Both of these differences affect the way how you use your camera a lot. But I would actually say that videography can also be good training for photography as it trains you to get the exposure as good as possible right from the beginning.
