In this video we give you a full inside tour of our tiny off-grid cabin in the woods located in the rural countryside of Maine and tell you about our diy renovation plans for it. Welcome to Merrydowns, our beautiful heritage farmhouse located a mile into the forest and surrounded by thousands of acres of a Maine Wildlife Sanctuary. We are husband and wife, Jenny and Mathew, doing our best to live the "good life" through simple, old-fashioned living in the rural countryside. We invite you to subscribe (oh please do!) and follow our journey as we work hard to reinvigorate this historic, 65 acre, sequestered property including renovations on the 1882 farmhouse and 1769 barn. We do everything ourselves from homesteading, building construction, land management, gardening, interior decorating - and most importantly of all, caring for a menagerie of rescue animals.
