In this Let's Play video, you will see me play Deathless Tales of Old Rus (Release Early Access). This game is a roguelite adventure strategy turn based RPG deck builder. You go on an adventure that presents you 3 branching choices (similar to a choose your own adventure style) along your journey. It's somewhat similar to "Lost Eidolons: Veil of the Witch" journey mode. The path moves forward no matter which choice you make, but at each point along your journey, you'll always be given 3 choices (left path, middle path, right path). Each choice offers you different rewards or encounters with various battle modifiers. Each journey has a chance to progress your character's story. This game reminds me of "Knock on the Coffins Lid", "Beneath Oresa", "Goblin Stone", "Gordian Quest", "Dragon Eclipse", and "Darkest Dungeon". Build your deck as you journey through world, encounter monster battles and defeat them in a turn based combat. What's unique about this game, is the mechanic for pulling dead foes on to your side of the battle field as a shield (meat Tank) which sort of acts like extra armor or health. The dead foes, similar to mechanics found in "Darkest Dungeon" can be used by some of the enemies (if present) for various spell effects such as raising the dead. I really enjoyed playing this game and highly recommend it. This game will be fully released on December 12, 2024.
