The Gecko HD is a pocket-sized video camera that kids can wear on their wrists or clip almost anywhere to record action-packed videos with sound and photos. It comes with a USB cable, a wrist mount that rotates 180 degrees, a clip that rotates 360 degrees, and three changeable snap-on covers. You'll need a microSD card (at least 8GB but up to 32GB), which is sold separately. The camera has waterproof casing, which makes it safe for kids to take photos and video at the pool, beach, or lake.

Before first use, charge the camera for three hours by plugging it into a computer via the USB cord. (After that, it only takes about one hour for a full charge.) Once fully charged, unplug the camera and start taking pictures. There are three modes: video recording, photo, and time lapse. To switch between the modes, press the power button. Press the shutter button on the side to start and stop shooting. To view your videos and photos, upload them to a computer by connecting the camera to the computer.

You can also customize your camera settings by downloading the free Gecko HD software from Oregon Scientific's website. This software does not let you view or edit your photos and videos.
