The songs that were received through prayer and meditation in the word of God, reflect the longing for a savior, the Messiah, that is embedded in the heart of the Jewish people.

Be merciful unto me O God,
be merciful unto me, for my soul trusts in you.
And in the shadow of Your wings I will take refuge,
till the calamities pass by.

I will cry out to God most high,
to God who rewards me,
He will send his help from heaven and save me.
