Innovate Responsibly: Artificial Intelligence Regulation in Silicon Valley & Asia

SAN FRANCISCO, February 20, 2024 – Asia Society Northern California, in partnership with Google, hosts a panel discussion on A.I. Regulation in Silicon Valley & Asia. Jacob Ward, NBC News Correspondent, moderates the session, which focuses on the rapid advancements in AI technology and the development of frameworks for responsible AI use. Panelists include Alice Hunt Friend, Head of AI & Emerging Tech Policy at Google, Kathy Baxter, Principal Architect of Responsible AI & Tech at Salesforce, Ganapathy Krishnan, Vice President and Science Fellow at ServiceNow, and, John Cabeca, U.S. Intellectual Property (IP) Counselor for South Asia.

The conversation encompasses a range of perspectives on AI regulation, including the importance of varied policy-approaches, enforcement strategies, and market incentives to ensure safe use of A.I.
