It is finally here, the i7-5820k review, I also compare this vs the 4670k. The 5820k is a very unique CPU in its' own right, featuring 6c / 12t and 28 pci-e lanes - all for $400. On the surface this CPU does seem like a good buy and it is once you look at the productivity benchmarks, however for gaming it didn't really show any superior frame increases over the 4670k (it even lost in ARMA 3), though this was kind of as expected. Though when the production benchmarks started, that is where this thing really came to life giving sometimes huge boosts of the 4670k/4690k in comparison. This should also be considerably faster than the 4770k/4790k as well in productivity. Though these better results does come at the cost of increased power consumption and quite a lot of it, as seen in the power consumption benchmark.

I will also be making another follow up video after I get through the mountain of reviews and vids that I have to do for other products, talking about the experience and other miscellaneous stuff.

***Please note my final render time results could be invalid in this video (though workflow will be much smoother / faster on the larger CPU), please read this article for a much better benchmarking guideline for PP final Render times - https://www.pugetsystems.com/labs/art...
