Last week we set the EV Cannonball Record TWICE! On the way to New York, Ryan Levenson teamed up with his cousin Will Wood to set the record in a rented Long Range Model S. Then again later that same week, Ryan teamed up with Josh Allan to get the Tesla back from New York. The car to beat was the Porsche Taycan driven by the Out of Spec Motoring team, who did the drive in 44 hours and 25 minutes earlier this year. Will had never driven a Tesla before, let alone one with a Yoke, so while getting the car prepped with a fresh set of Tesla's 19" Tempest wheels and while shopping for road trip snacks, Will got comfortable behind the Yoke. Finally, just after 1:00 am, equipped with an incredibly efficient, fast charging, long-range EV, a large number of snacks, and Waze, the team set off. This video shows the route Will and Ryan took to get to New York in a record-setting 42 hours and 52 minutes!
